about me

MOP_1862.jpeg

I was the 3 years old and the last kid to leave the stage on mini disco nights whenever I would go on vacation with my family. Little did I know that I would be stepping into a few more...

"Neoclassical dance is where I thrive. Why?

Because it takes the beauty and strength of classical technique but breaks the squareness into a world full of expression. â€‹â€‹ The Picasso of dance!"

MY JOURNEY

Barcelona, Spain

David Campos Ballet School & Company

I studied classical and neoclassical dance in David Campos Ballet (Barcelona) under his and Irene Sabas' direction. I was introduced from a very young age to his original pieces like Rock Requiem and Neo versions of classics like Don Quixot or The Nutcracker. I also got to experience the creation of performed them regularly in our Home Theatre. Later on, in several venues and events in Barcelona like the National day of Police Bodies in 2023 with an audience of over a thousand people.

Singapore & Manila, the Philippines

Singapore Indancity programe & Ballet Manila

I explored neoclassical repertoire further when I joined Ballet Manila in 2023 for the production of filipino tale, Ibong Adarna. A year earlier, Singapore Indancity (SMU) taught me jazz, floor work technique and a new approach to fluidity.

Cairo, Egypt

Rya Dance Company, Dansabeel,

Cairo Contemporary Dance Festival, Performing Arts School Alexandria

Recently, I have been working as a freelance artist with Rya Dance Company for their new production "Counterclock". As well as, giving workshops, teaching Neoclassical classes, and choreographing in Cairo. I was invited to be a judge for the Performing Arts School in Alexandria too.

I like being involved in whatever I do and you will usually find me, not only dancing but also assisting with the staging, lights and PR. Actually, I was the stage assistant in "Dear Children" by Salvatore Cataldo at the Contemporary Dance Night Festival in Cairo 2024. Also. pitched the Counterclock performance in front of several Cultural Institutes and Embassies; spreading awareness and getting Rya enrolled in several European and national funding processes.
